Established in 2001, Waste Recovery Technology (WRT) company was found by a professional team with environmental engineering, chemical engineering, and electrochemistry background. With the prosperous development of Taiwan’s electronic manufacturing industry, multiple types of metal containing wastewater is produced during the manufacturing process, and copper-containing wastewater accounts for the largest quantity of wastewater. Based on the demand from PCB, TFT-LCD, and semiconductor factory, WRT develops customized Recocell electrowinning system for wastewater treatment and metal recovery. WRT firstly innovated the BOO (Build-Operate-Own) model in the industry. Customer can introduce our electrowinning system with very low capital investment. WRT will be responsible for the system construction, machine operation, and equipment maintenance. Based on the income of recovery metal and benefit of reducing hazardous waste, WRT shares the revenue with customer, and creates a “win-win” cooperation model.

WRT designs and offers the process based on customer demand, and our principle is to develop the most economical and environmental friendly process. From the beginning of wastewater treatment design, WRT considers the lowest carbon emission process and environmental risk, and offering zero secondary waste process for the customer to achieve in-house recovery. Meanwhile, we dedicate in enhancing the quality and purity of recovery product, and discovering the possibility of reusing the copper back to the raw material of electronic manufacturing process, which eventually attaining the target of “cradle-to-cradle” circulation target.
